Women’s rights activists established newspapers and journals devoted to women’s suffrage. In this activity you will divided into a team of 3. The group will select an era of the women’s suffrage movement to create a commemorative newspaper.
In your group you will have a Photo journalist, a Legal Informant, and an Interview Reporter. You will each write an article using primary and secondary source materials to write an informative newspaper article.
As a team you will work together to create a newspaper that includes all your articles, a title, photos, and advertisements from the period. This collaborative document will be presented to the class in a 15 minute presentation. This presentation can be made using PowerPoint, Prezi, iMovie, or a traditional newspaper template.
